July 2011 Summertime

One of my first Roses this year

One proud Mama

Love these colors

Time to catch up with friends and enjoy the sunny days of summer.  Still crafting and planning winter projects.  Yard Sale coming up Saturday and will try to sell some crafts too.  Taking pictures of my garden flowers and hope to use them for painting examples and cards.  God sure can create beautiful, vibrant flowers that I can't get enough of.  At least taking a picture makes them last longer.

Easter Ideas

Springtime is a time for new and bright crafts.  The dullness of the winter gives way to the birth of a new year.  I am going to be working on gourd birdhouses that that house our little feathered friends.  Will see how they hold up outside in the weather.  I had them outside last year for a few months and they seemed to hold up well.

Sunflower Gourd, from my garden, sign on back says Apartment for rent.

This one was very pretty, purple pansies with butterfly.

The gourds are fairly tough shelled, bleached, painted with white and decorated.  They are sealed with a spray acrylic and have holes in the bottom for drainage.   I am planning on selling them at a craft fair in May 2011.  They will go for about $20-25.

I do plan on doing more artistic ones.  Such as the Santa below, but the cost will be much higher due to the time involved in painting.

These are fun and I have seen so many ideas, including cottages and woodburned ones that are unique.

Craftybarb ideas and dreams 2011

3/6/2011
Starting 2011, it seems that time goes by fast with no stopping for feelings and dreams.  I am dreaming about a future that has minimum worry and maximum creativity to feed the soul.  I love anything artistic and love experimenting with the way things are put together, whether its knitting, painting or woodworking.  My next endeavor is fiber crafting at Hallockville that sounds like fun and is not too expensive. Anyone wanting to join me, let me know, it starts in April.  My current crafts are on the inexpensive side due to my working situation but still are rewarding.
